I'm thinking of rerolling my titan to change appearances for better space dressup purposes and tag along with a buddy who's going to go through new light. I know I'll need to redo any campaign stuff, Beyond Light for stasis, etc. Going to put gear in the vault so I can yoink it back out again afterward. Anything else that I should make sure to do? Will I need to rebuy all the Light 3.0 stuff from Ikora or does that carry over?

If you delete a character everything uniquely associated with that character is permanently lost, so yes, you will have to rebuy Light 3.0 stuff

Xenophage is a sidearm the way a poptart is a ravioli The whole game is grey areas. Especially now that most weapons are full auto, the spectrum of 'Sidearm to Heavy Machine Gun' is pretty debatable Like what REALLY makes a 600 SMG and a 720 Auto rifle what they are. Drang is a hand cannon. The real answer is that the Gun Model & the type of mods it uses are what make a gun a gun. Xenophage isn't a sidearm because it uses Machine Gun mods and it's a very big gun you hold differently from a tiny pistol

triple shotgun seems fun, yeah. I love when weird weapon types are available in the heavy slot—you even have options, like Legend of Acrius or Tractor Cannon! also given we’re talking about how close various weapon archetypes are to one another, here’s a fun non-secret: bows are programmed as fusion rifles! draw time is directly analogous to charge time

It's been a long time Telesto actually cooks in PVP unless they changed something when I wasn't looking. If you hit all 3 bolts on someone it's a 1-tap from any range. Learn how to control the recoil and you have a fusion rifle with no damage fall-off.

You should always pull out 2 sidearms and dual wield them. No changes to stats. Just update the animations to make it look cooler. Otherwise sidearms usually look tiny and goofy. So why not use two tiny, goofy guns?

Also I think the idea that it's a new guy who just took the name Bracus Zahn is silly when it could've just been a shadow legion clone of the original, who was pals with Calus.
