While there's no way to do it OS side, MCC can be launched early in the download once you have the "launch chunk" (which I suspect is just the frontend), and you can thus disable the games as desired before the download has finished.

I just played a bit of EA PGA Tour Trial and it has control stick swinging with no option for 3 click. And there is a weird lag while swinging that fucks up your timing. Who wants this?

You can load anything you want if you’re good enough to code it to run on an Xbox (which I think itself just runs wrapped Windows Store apps).

Honestly, my theory is, considering how long this went on with Microsoft essentially looking the other way, that they're trying to look squeaky clean for regulators before the deal closes. Not that its logical but considering the octogenarian’s running the US government, I could see the case being made that allowing people to pirate software from competitors is an abuse of position. Gave EA PGA another try, I still do not like the stick swinging. That said, apparently they are having the 3 click swing in an 'early' update so I may wait for that. Now that I am a bit more calm and thinking about it I don't really know why one feels lovely to me and the other feels right. When a ball flies off course in 3 click, I am able to blame myself, but in stick swinging it feels arbitrary. It's was the same in 2K PGA. I just do not get it. Speaking of, is anyone getting some stuttering when turning the camera in Halo Infinite? It's smooth as butter when walking back and forth, but looking around has some kind of stutter. It happened since after one of the last updates this month. Changing the fps or pov settings doesn't fix it. It made me uninstall it and reinstall the MCC again, MCC is cool but sadly can't find any BTB games which sucks.

I just started playing the Hitman thing for the first time. Tutorials were nice compact areas, but I'm bit overwhelmed by the first real mission. Model gala has 29 assassination goals + dozens of other sub-goals. And the map is huge.

I saw the preview and it looked fairly hype but unfortunately I'm one of those people that all those articles have warned about that get brained poisoned by Game Pass and want everything for free. I shan't be paying $25 for an indie pixel treasure. I'll just wait 6 months and either forget it ever existed or be hype when it gets added to Phil's Buffet service.
