I also saw a chonky rabbit in my yard last week. I spooked the poor thing and they lept into two different fences a few times before I backed off enough they felt comfortable running parallel the fence past me

We have bunnies here year round, but they're all descended from pet releases. They have basically zero flight instinct and honestly it's surprising how successful they are given all the predators around (mainly eagles and a few coyotes). I guess they breed faster than anything can eat them. They're certainly not hard to catch. |

My neighborhood is just chock full of rabbits in the warmer months. Luckily they're all very fast because my dogs would have absolutely no idea what to do with one if they caught it. Even if they seem to forget how to get out of the backyard at first when we let the dogs out to pee at night, they can still easily evade Cosmo by running in circles until they remember. |
