Another idea that will surely not have any downside.

discord has pretty much taken over for all the old messaging and voice clients. it's not like reddit or 4chan. it's like irc/pidgin/trillian/ventrilo/teamspeak etc. asking why all the degenerates are on it is like asking why all the degenerates are on google chrome.
