X and Pearl, a couple of throwback horror movies. X is a slasher set around the filming of a Porno, and Pearl is the prequel to that. She was recently in Infinity Pool, which I have not seen.

Most recently X and its prequel Pearl, two very well received horror movies

"well received horror movies" is like her entire career starting with the Suspiria remake

And she's in the last part of the trilogy whose name escapes me at the moment. The two out are both really good and she's good in them.

I've seen shit you people wouldn't believe. Cop cars on fire off the shoulder of I-94. I watched search lights glitter in the dark near the Ambassador Bridge. All those moments will be lost in time, like piss in the drain. Time to retch.
And yet I know her from Emma. starring fellow indie horror darling Anya Taylor-Joy

The actors that played Wade's girlfriend Vanessa and also Colossus of the X-Men are playing those characters again in Deadpool 3

It had previously been announced that the actors who portrayed Blind Al and Dopinder in the last two movies were also coming back.

Watched The Batman for the third time last night. When I saw it in the theaters, I thought it was pretty good but it didn't exactly blow me away. Then, I caught it on HBO a few months later and was in and out, kinda bored. This time around, it struck me as a near-masterpiece. The film is just shot so well, visually putting all MCU movies to shame. Pattinson is so expressive as Batman, just with his eyes alone. He's definitely the best
live-action Batman guy. The only thing that really still bothers me is the film's characterization of the Riddler as a Zodiac-style conspiracist serial killer. I think if he had a different name or something it would bother me a little bit less.

There's a couple weird nods to Hush in the film, I assume that's who he was going to be in an early version of the script, and then someone said "No, let's use a Batman villain that people have actually heard of."

I think making the Riddler a Zodiac conspiracy theorist makes sense but it also feels dated and like the kind of thing you would have done 10 or 15 years ago. All of the Batman felt kind of dated to me though and that could just be me being over Batman.

It was so blatant it honestly surprised me when that wasn't the twist. They clearly set him up to be Hush with a slightly different story, but then they just drop that all of a sudden and keep him as a very different riddler instead.

This is how I felt when I first saw it, like how many iterations of this premise and these goofy characters can we have before it all becomes rote and tiresome? The style and craft really blew me away this time, though, but I'm really on one with Batman in general right now, having just blown through the whole Morrison run.

It was the much vaunted fan idea for the Riddler after The Dark Knight came out, so you’re right on the 15 years ago money.
