Backpack Hero ate a ton of my life in Early Access and the only reason I'm still not playing it is because they're saving big content stuff for official release and I want to enjoy that. Loop Hero and Into The Breach are also both excellent.

But also, it seems like the speed of the first window for a counter is always connected to the speed of the second window, so my success rate on the second possible counter was a lot higher when I knew roughly how long to wait before hitting it.

But the second move was probably a 2/10 shot for me. Took me a few times to even realize they were randomizing the timing.

Harvestella has been a fun game, for what it is worth. First two seasons are kinda tough, much like many season having games. Hades is roguelike I think, and really nifty. I even enjoyed it. The NPCs even react to you. I'm looking forward to Fantasy V, so I can four job fiesta.

Octopath 2 is entirely self-contained, you can hop right in. I've only played Xenoblade 3, and I never felt at a loss for not having played the previous entries there. I'm told it does reference 1 and 2, but nothing that resembles required readng.

Since I know I'm almost definitely getting Tears of the Kingdom either way I'm not watching too much more of the trailers, kinda funny if they're using the same map but recontextualising it with new features like the Nuts and Bolts vehicles to drive around in while having most of the new content be above or underground Hyrule. I also wonder how Hyrule's gonna look like overall. Is it gonna assume that Link was one of those maniacs who 100%ed the game? Luigi's Mansion 3 kind of reminds me Gregory Horror Show. I've only played a little bit though. It was funny King Boo being introduced as the antagonist and not knowing who that is.

Saw the Mario movie this weekend & it was fun. Chris Pratt was surprisingly a decent Mario. Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong was not very good. A lame rear end Larry David impression.
