The CBC at least gets more than 1% of its budget from the government, so not as wild as the NPR claim.

But, using the same label for "state media" and "media that receives public money" is very much on brand with Musk's dumb decisions. Especially since he seems to just be getting into tiffs and applying it as revenge rather than just applying it to every organization that gets any public money.
