The Chiefs are a weird choice for him, but if folks think this draft sucks balls and there's only like 17 1st round quality players, maybe Hooker is a good value at 31?

Willis came out in an extremely bad QB class, had and has poor mechanics even when not pressured and comes from a fisher price offense. Richardson it probably a generational athlete and Levis at least is a better prospect physically and played in a pro style system, under and injury cloud etc. Similar rhetoric for sure, but even not being great prospects, Richardson and Levis are far better.

If Willis was coming out this year I doubt he even gets a mention during the lead up other than people mentioning he exists.

Give Kelce is about to turn 34 and this tight end class, I cant see a world where there's genuinely no better option.

Is this right?
I mean, I’m a Levis fan and I guess he could go #1 but isn’t it much more likely that if Vegas gets an insider tip that Young is definitely the pick that they would lower the odds to get money (which will certainly be lost) placed on the guy who definitely isn’t going #1

There's literally nothing in the lead up to the draft that would have me believe they spoke about Levis once they traded with Chicago. If they liked Levis or Richardson over the other two they would have traded with Arizona and kept Moore.

Pretty sure with a scenario like this, you try to minimize potential losses. Unless the GM called you and told you who he is picking, you can't really know.

Vegas isn’t a singular entity, it’s a bunch of different bookmakers setting odds for their respective books. The reason they converge to similar odds is that they don’t make money by “betting” for or against an outcome, they make money by balancing the bets so the losers money pays off the winners and the house keeps the vig. The more money that gets bet the more the house wins but most importantly they win no matter the outcome.

Yeah, while they are in the gambling business, casinos aren't gamblers. They are perfectly happy to balance the bets and just cash in their guaranteed percentage rather than actually putting money on the line.

I think my only quibble with this is with AR. I’m calling him QB3 with the awareness that fixing his feet is easier than fixing his arm, and we can grade his intermediate accuracy when his passing game is run by adults. He has tools and occasionally brilliant reads mixed with awful awful footwork and no touch. If anyone fits the “just get him practice and reps” project model its him.

If nothing else Richardson is going to be a top 2 or 3 running qb the second he steps on the field, as long as you let(make?) him do that there's at least a floor to how ineffective he can be that I'm not sure is there with Levis

If you're insisting the Chiefs take a Tight End in the first round, no.

Until Kelce quits or dies on the field he's going to log a majority of the snaps. Dropping a one for a mostly bench rider doesn't make any sense.

I mean it's more logical than Hooker but still I don't see it. They need an impact player while this current window is still wide open.

Kelce is such a savvy route runner I think he could last till he's 40 like Tony Gonzalez.

I think there’s a hole at RB and maybe Pacheco fills it, maybe not. I wouldn’t be mad at taking a swing at some of the top RB talent in the second. But in the first it’s gotta be BPA of OT, WR, Dline.

I've yet to hear one of these nerds explain away how, If you can get good players at the position in the middle rounds reliably, every team doesn't have good players at the position.

I've had this weird feeling since about Monday that the Bengals were going to end up with Joey Porter Jr.
