Ugh its at Clapham Common too. That's one of the stations with the scarily narrow island platforms that feel dangerous at the best of times.

That's fine, I'm sure there are no adverse affects from 'brake dust' inhalation.

The media’s insistence on portraying the weirdos, oddballs and bizarre tourists who go and camp out on the Mall for these things as wonderful examples of British patriotism will never not be as funny as it is unhinged

I know I should be pleased about the Tories getting a thumping, but I can’t but feel that this will make Starmer think that his current tactic of abandoning all pretence of socialism is working, and that the Labour Party will move even further to the right between now and the general election

There is literally nothing that could happen that they wouldn't take as validation. Be happy the torries are eating poo poo and take note that currently the labour gains are about the same as the lib dens/greens combined.

Every possible eventuality from these local elections has Keith running further to the right.

If Labour had lost seats, they would blame the spectre of Corbynism and insist that moving right was the only way to regain voters.

Labour did OK here, and the Greens had the same share of the votes as the Tory candidate (which the Green will feel better about than the Tory).

In terms of gains, but absolute numbers are still with Labour, that’s why the footage is focusing on the official opposition who are not so secretly Tory-lite, instead of the official Tory-lite party
