We don't have to have a crazy rule for everything, issues can he reported and dealt with calmly and efficiently if they are a problem. I don't think a ban+30 for making a porny cyoa is equal to something like Synthy telling an admin to kill themselves, which got the same treatment. One has humour and boners as the intention, which is noble in its own way.

Agreed completely, but that is a better situation than currently exists where "forums problem posters" linger for years because the mods dont want to pass a rule forbidding serious discussion of animal cruelty or whatever so they dont get dinged for it. Currently in some areas I dont think the "spirit" of the rules even properly exists in a way thats enforcable. Rules lawyering is a problem wherever you are, Even at a professional level where you have engineering companies stamping stuff "made in the UK" becsuse they put two holes in the chinese stuff they imported. However, Rules lawyering in itself is a pretty good indication of someone posting in bad faith in the first place. Anyone arguing "ah!!! Well technically by posting clothed ladies instead of naked ones i didnt breach the no porn rule" knew full well they were skirting it and trying to be cute, for instance. I guess if people really want to argue the toss they can try it in SAD, where luckily people are even more aggressively against rules lawyering.
