Specifically it's the assertion that Black people comprise 13% of the US population but are 53% or whatever of arrests or charges, the exact numbers and claims very but the crux is insinuating that it's some inherent criminality of Black people and not, you know, anything at all to do with overpolicing, systemic racism, and cycles of poverty induced by both those things. Anytime someone starts down this road you can safely assume they're a huge piece of poo poo. edit: specifically it's the implication that this is some inherent criminality that's the bad part, someone pointing out disproportionate racial disparities in arrests or w/e isn't necessarily being racist if they're using it to talk about how the cops are bastards and the US prison system is slavery in a hat and sunglasses, but the way This Kind of Guy does it is immediately obvious as not being that, they're using the statistics to claim that actually overpolicing Black neighborhoods is good and justified by that statistic (rather than in large part the cause of that statistic) and usually festooned with lots of "I'm not racist but..." and "I'm just a race realist!" stuff hailthefish has issued a correction as of 01:26 on May 7, 2023 |

I think a lot of Elon’s crassest and stupidest far right posturing is a transparent attempt to ingratiate himself with the party that will let him grift and scam and cut his taxes/eviscerate labor laws for him. But the racial stuff is 100% a core belief, there’s no way he grew up with the background he did without being tremendously racist.

perfectly possible he grew up rich but had very little when he came to the us It doesn't really impact the fact that he's rich now because he was one of the few lucky outcomes (right place right time) from the dot com bubble and they had to oust him because he was running the company into the ground, then he used all his money to buy into Tesla when they were already onto something and wormed his way into leadership and took credit for engineering successes.
