Looking at the character select, Reimu and Marisa have a sky blue background, while all the animal characters have fuschia/purple. So there's definitely some sorta distinction being made between characters, but unclear of what kind yet (beyond maybe human/animal). Not sure what's up with Marisa having red eyes now. for those playing lost branch, they have just added the 4th playable character to beta if you want to try them out before they go to stable and maybe curse out those 2 stupid lunar rabbits in act 3 the new character involves a neverending stream of unblockable chip damage and fairies so many fairies which can also then be turned into chip damage and then also be used to renewably run your opponent with them

Not sure how many people played or even saw the first one, but another Touhou-style game for the Exa-Arcadia platform is going to be shown off at Reitaisai. nope, that was explicitly stated in the post about the release, theres not gonna be any character reveals until the full release in august. people have even tried datamining the demo and the only thing they found was some leftover assets from 18.5

hope the full game has an arcade mode with the normal versus rules instead of the way story mode works, like the phantasmagoria games. but also please turn down the AI. this computer with instant reaction times is for some reason really good at death bombing!

I myself saw Cool & Create had a massive line since their new single featured both Marasy (another popular artist with the younger set) and Miku. Teenagers buying CDs in numbers like that hasn't been seen in the west since the turn of the century.
