terry funk was the goofiest seller. i watched him vs Lawler from 1980 the other day and he was rubber legging 80 percent of the match. Hes the best ever for a reason.

What sells it a little bit at the end is the referee finally getting Terry out of the ropes and it looks more whoops than carefully planned, like he was genuinely stuck.

My point is they are hypocrites and the reason wrestling is fun is the crazy selling. In real life people getting hit looks boring. I want it to look like a movie where things look cool. I do get their underlying point though, which is about WWE being more outwardly soapy and how it's infected everyone else's style (usually due to network mandates trying to match their ratings), but it's a very weird and uninformed way of phrasing it and it doesn't even answer the question.
