I broke my wrist and to keep me sane I was gifted some art stuff. Here’s the last 3 days worth of time filling. Watercolour brush pens are ok, but I prefer the ink and some brushes.

Would anybody have some good suggestions on which of these colors best represent the month of May? 🤔 I'm a little bit stumped here, nothing immediately comes to mind.  this is just in progress from today but i think i've already gotten a lot better just in the past two weeks or so. some simple proportion markers from that loomis book helped a lot. hands and feet remain a crapshoot. i broke this up into mannequin style layers because I might use it to animate in a game, hence low res and neutral pose.

Everything I’ve done for the last couple of years has sucked and I’m out of practice. God, I hope my brain starts fully functioning for creative stuff again someday. It’s not going to get better without practice, though. Here’s some in progress poo poo I’ve done just to play with color and see if I can spark some brain-hand magic. No clue where the gently caress I’m going to go on the left I’ll probably restart the painting of the chihuahua nose that I just gessoed over. It’s a dooooog snoooooot. I should be able to inject some magic into that! I love dog noses! Why have I failed so far!?
