I remember laughing my rear end off because I assumed that they'd restart the match and then I finally realized they weren't, that this really was it. It basically sapped all my energy for like the next 60-90 minutes of the show because I couldn't get over how loving stupid it was.

Chucklin' Chono corpsing because of Hashimoto's completely meaningless response.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaGl34AZ6aI

For context: in the build up to the '90 Super Fight in Tokyo Dome event that took place on the 10th of February, 1990 (main evented by Inoki and Sakaguchi vs Chono and Hashimoto, and also notable for that Vader vs Hansen match with the eye, as well as Tsuruta working a Dome event for NJPW), Chono and Hashimoto were meant to cut a promo. According to Chono, Hashmoto was feeling a bit nervous about cutting a promo, so it was agreed that Chono would do the majority of the talking.

Chono is asked by the interviewer about how he'll approach the match against Inoki and Sakaguchi. He gives a fairly standard reply - aggressively stating that their opponents will be "crushed," and telling the audience to bear witness.

What neither expected was the interviewer to ask a completely unprepared Hashimoto for his opinion, resulting in him saying "時は来た、それだけだ," or translated "the time has come, that is all." Chono had to immediately suppress his laughter because of how worthless Hashimoto's comment was.
