Also Scott Morrison is fishing around for jobs (by the way he's still an elected MP) and was strongly put forward to be hired by PwC but they rejected him because they thought he was too much of a reputational risk.

Here in NJ, you get a sign with 'This is bus stop (#HERE). Text (PHONE NUMBER) for arrival times'

All the places that set up digital boards did it in the sweet spot where automation of the information was becoming cheap and possible but before apps became really popular. Cities looking at it now are just gonna shell out relative peanuts for an app and put up signs like that, because why spend more?

And it sucks because it’s basically a tax on a pretty reasonable function for public transportation and as always it hits the poor the worst.

I mean, yeah, kinda? It's a conflict of interest with a potential bribe mixed in, she SHOULD be held accountable for it like Thomas should be held accountable for all of his conflicts of interests and undisclosed gifts.

The linked article isn't particularly complete in its accounting; it may help to remember that the Hill is historically the more conservative of the DC tiger beat rags, and Juan Williams is a Fox host. Among other things, Sotomayor had disclosed all the payments, which were in different years, and part of existing publication agreements at rates generally within the norm for books of the type.
