Outrage clicks. You ever see a tweet about a good NYT opinion piece that you agree with? They are out there, but they never seem to go viral. CNBC in particular is really bad about it, they post a "I make 500k but I'm poor" article multiple times a year because they know a million email job having twitters are going to drive insane engagement by performing outrage

The insidious thing about "18" as a Nazi symbol is that it's also a Jewish one, in the form of "חי". It means "life", but those letters also have the numerical total of 18.
