These 2 matches were heavily clipped, which sucks because it means I can't really go MOTYC on them, which I probably would've if we got the full matches, because what I saw was filled with great & crazy spots & charismatic wrestlers. I gotta say that going straight from Hikari Noa's deathmatch debut to seeing these 8 wrestlers doing it was really unfair on Noa, I went back & knocked down her match further. The clips are still well worth a watch though, even if we get less than half of that main event :(

All Japan Champion Carnival Night 10
All Japan (Oji Shiiba, Ryo Inoue & Ryuki Honda) vs New Japan (Kosei Fujita, Ryohei Oiwa & Yuto Nakashima)
Watch this here

I haven't had a chance to finish this show yet because of annoying real world stuff but I had to post about this match. This is just a great heated battle between the New Japan Young Lions & All Japan's almost young boy team? Ryo Inoue only debuted in 2022, though he's graduated from black trunks he's still low on the totem poll. Oji Shiiba is in this weird position where he debuted in 2017 but has been badly hampered by injuries so has actually had fewer matches in that time than Oiwa & Fujita, Ryuki Honda started in Wrestle-1 in 2018 but despite having debuted he started as a trainee in AJPW when that died, albeit on an accelerated path. He injured Jake Lee in a non-title match on the last show of 2021 & joining Total Eclipse, then started 2022 by beating Shotaro Ashino & getting to the final of a tournament to crown a new Triple Crown Champion, had his first gimmick match (Last Man Standing) & entered the Champion Carnival. And then he formed a new faction in AJPW after a shakeup of the factions, joining with Ashino to create Gungnir of Anarchy, & would go on to win the Tag Titles & have 4 successful defences.

Anyway, now you know who the All Japan guys are, you should watch this, it's a tremendously fun war where the rookies & the almost-rookies batter the piss out of each other to try & establish supremacy. Sure, AJPW guys have the experience but the NJPW guys are bigger, leaner. before the bell is even rung Honda & Nakashima are getting right in each others faces, head-to-head. It's so cool. I love when 2 sets of young boys from different companies face off like this.

All Japan find another way to put Yuma Anzai in there with a big star & of course he comes out of it well. He debuted in September & since then he's had singles matches against Yuji Nagata, Minoru Suzuki, Naoya Nomura, Shuji Ishikawa, Shingo Takagi, & then he took part in the Champion Carnival this year, where he got 3 wins, including over one of the finalists: he faced Suwama, Manabu Soya, Shotaro Ashino, Takao Omori, Ishikawa again, Rei Saito & Hokuto Omori. Meanwhile in tag matches he's been in there with Miyahara, Takuya Nomura, Jake Lee, Yuma Aoyagi, Atsushi Onita, Jinsei Shinzaki, Naruki Doi, CIMA, El Lindaman, T-Hawk, Masa Kitamiya, & now Naito. By way of comparison, Jun Akiyama's first Champion Carnival was 18 months after his debut, & it took him 3 extra months to get his first 3 singles wins (although Akiyama's 1st win was in January '93, so only 4 months after his debut, beating Al Perez)

I'm telling you, get in on this guy early. Rookies do not get pushed like this in a pretty staid & traditional company like All Japan unless they are generational.
