You're not actually talking directly with NDT and ultimately you have to think even a certain portion of people are just going on whatever media think their management tells them without questioning it. And if you believe that, you can imagine either 1) the agent doesn't do any research because they don't give a poo poo they're just booking their people to make money 2) they did some research, ran the numbers, and went "eh . . . controversy divided by relative popularity minus long term relevance . . . works out fine, book it"

yeah that all makes sense, I guess it’s the fact of being a celebrity and how incredibly not normal that lifestyle is bc if I was like a respected-in-the-mainstream public figure it would seem like a no brainer to avoid the show. but I’m very glad they don’t lol

Adam is a great interviewer for basically getting the angry millennial viewpoint out to a lot of these people. He gave NDT a bunch of poo poo. have finklestein a bunch of poo poo. he is the only one of these people to be enough of an rear end in a top hat to actually be mean to guests and not just feel guilty or awkward about it. the “come on Neil” about women in rationalia had me howling.
