The best part is the top box is just one of these with some big ol U-bolts holding it to the rear rack through some holes I drilled in the bottom of it. It held up great, especially for that dirt cheap price. Plus the box has loops you can put padlocks through, which was nice since we were street parking in Chicago a bunch

McLellan Overlook. Really fun roads up there, though there are some rough patches where things have fallen apart and been sloppily patched or are currently falling apart and full of pot holes. Washington is good about putting “motorcycles use extreme caution” signs up around stuff like that, thankfully. Just be aware that they really do mean it when you see them and slow down a bit and you’ll be fine.

The section of wind river highway where it climbs to/descends from elevation is absolutely awesome! I was up there last 4th of July in the late afternoon and it was mostly deserted, so I went up and down that twisty section a couple times, everything from the scenery to the smell in the air is great. Road was still in pretty good condition too, but I'd guess that winter and spring showers have done a number on it.

Sold this - it’s been a good ride, but I won’t miss it: And this, which I will miss sometimes:  And bought this:  Initial thoughts: wow, fun! Turns quick, makes cool growly intake noises, and the sensation of “this feels maybe too fast” comes at a reasonable 80mph instead of 100 like the FZ. Quick shifter is very smooth and neat but I’m not sure how much I’ll use it in normal everyday riding. Throttle by wire will take some getting used to and the mapping seems kinda janky, but US models need an ECU flash to get the full 70hp anyways, so that’ll be taken care of soon. Clutch pull is super light, almost too much, but I can probably get used to that. No real complaints other than, like probably most new vehicles in 2023, there are just various bits that look or feel cheaper or more sloppily made than they were on a vehicle from 20 or more years ago. Oh also the toolkit which is: -Philips head screwdriver -4mm hex key -5mm hex key -Cloth bag to keep the above in Why even bother…

Nah the battery is under the seat. Key unlocks the pillion, latch under the pillion removes the seat. I’m guessing you can get the bodywork off with the included tools, and that’s about it. Looks like it’s all held on with 4mm bolts and plastic push clips.

I saw a revzilla video where they said it was rev limited to 11.5k, but some guy on Reddit said his was not rev limited but HP limited and could still hit 16k, which kind of makes no sense to me, so which one is it?
