this approach to protecting leads has not always worked very well in the past sure Vegas is struggling to get anything quality on net and their entire offensive zone system seems to be built on bouncing the puck off the back boards and hoping for lucky bounces and chaos, but sometimes those bounces do go in and the Stars are walking on a knife's edge (since as we all know this team can not win in OT)
