I went to that 5 degree (had to look it up, was actually 0 and -13 windchill and the coldest bears game ever) bears packers game way back in '08. It was so fun. Had a couple beer slushies. If my feet got too cold id run to the bathroom real quick. They got heated floors and blast the heat in there. If i had one more layer of socks and a thicker stack of cardboard to put my feet on, it would have been fine. Outdoor games are the best, but i wont knock anyone that disagrees. Ive also been to a Texas Rangers/white sox game in texas in august and my dumbass wore my black sox shirt. This was before their fancy new dome. My friend had box seats behind home plate and i wrongly assumed there would be shade. No shade...That was miserable, but i learned for next time.

Outdoor hockey in the winter is cool, so I can see where that would extend to football, too. As someone who watches 100% on TV, I'm pretty indifferent to dome vs open. The Vikings playing at TCF for a couple years did give us Bud Grant in a polo in January, which was unequivocally great.MJeff posted:Guys don't try to reign in Beef, their meltdowns are the beat part of this thread. Minneapolis is nice, if expensive. The western chunk of Chicagoland is one of the deadest, most desolate places I've been to, rivaling the Tampa outskirts. Oppressively grey and soulless, with the glowing dome of Chicago always visible in the distance. Chicago proper is good. Can't comment on Detroit or its metro, haven't traveled there yet. I liked the Detroit airport the one time I've been there.
