Elon probably skimread the wiki page for the Culture and saw 'humans live a life of decadence in space, super AI are in charge of basically everything" and then stopped there.

The idea that the super AI might be in a constant state of squabbling with each other would never occur to him.

Has Elon actually commented on TruthGPT? I thought that was another ElonGOATCoin situation where a bunch of people were trading on his name/hoping that getting his attention and catering to him would lead to him giving them a giant pile of money, and there's no actual involvement or investment on his part. Like reply guys, but also grifting other reply guys because you have the secret code to make Elon see and like your reply.

He said he would make “Based AI” which is the opposite of all of the “Woke AI,” but he’s actually started up - shockingly - “X.AI”

Yes, because it's "unfair" that the devs put training wheels on it so it doesn't go on tangents about the jews or whatever because part of its training data was scraped from Stormfront.

When really, it's pure capitalism at work. If chatgpt went full Microsoft Tay and randomly dropped slurs, the companies looking to use it for services like automated help desks and the like wouldn't drop a dime on it.

This actually cuts right to the heart of what makes Elon such a fail son. He's a billionaire who can't even maintain a modicum of the common sense morality that companies practice. Twitter before him was a soulless corporate entity, But it was a soulless corporate entity that realized that if they didn't trim the bigoted and hateful sections of their user base, they would start the pollute the whole site and make it unappealing to normal users.

If you ban like 100 alt right weirdos, they'll just complain about it to each other in their lovely discords. If you leave those 100 alt right weirdos on the site, they will post enough to start making other people want to just avoid the site. I know that once I started getting all sorts of transphobic bullshit boosted onto my timeline because people paid $8, I just left.

Section 31 are written to be the absolute antagonist of their episodes.

IShallRiseAgain

Well ain't that precious?

I'd argue that the Federation isn't really socialist, because being a mostly post-scarcity civilization makes all economic systems obsolete. You need an economic system to manage limited resources, which isn't really a problem when you can just replicate most things you want. There is no need to worry about distributing resources because everybody can already get what they want basically for free.

There's a lot of 'um actually's that make the whole bit of Star Trek being socialist kind of a moot point.

At some point he came to and realized he made a horrible mistake and tried to back out, but the problem was the deal was already done. He was "forced" into buying it the same way me getting drunk and buying something stupid on the internet means i'm "forced" to pay my credit card bill
