You know, the rate at which the ocean heats up will decrease as it gets hotter until it eventually stops when it reaches equilibrium with atmospheric temperatures . Seems like a self correcting problem to me.

I went off grid for a few days for a work retreat and when I came back the radio news was all: - Massive unprecedented wildfires in the Canadian maritimes. - Unprecedented drought and heat in Europe leading to the worst crops in decades. - Warming waters in the pacific flummoxing scientists. - War in Kosovo like it’s 1999. And to top it all off: - Breathless Silicon Valley types pretending AI is an “extinction level” event for humanity to pump their stock valuations. Highly recommend getting away from any media inputs for 3-5 days to detox from exposure and level out your perception, you’ll come back and the first few hours will convince you we’re past living on borrowed time and into full breakdown.

silicone thrills posted:all my apple trees died too and my soil literally went hydrophobic because I wasn't vigilant about watering it enough. Fortunately through the magic of the Internet experienced desert gardeners were able to give us valuable tips like adding a couple of drops of dish detergent to the watering can to break surface tension and allow the water to soak in. Because we need to know things like this now on the Wet Coast. Pulled the mulch off some of my beds so they'd warm up after the late cold spring. Wasn't quick enough to put it back and now some spots are going hydrophobic again. Adaptation is going to be tricky. Careful, things might get warm enough to reduce sperm production. This might or might not be a problem, depending on whether you own a pair of testicles or your attitude towards their function.
