Yea I just got back from taking a break after my first play session, also getting an hour queue. I know it's a Blizz game and it's to be expected but drat.

In case anyone is wondering, for Necromancer, you can only cap out your skeletons at 11 spawned. I figured as much because otherwise that would be super overpowered, but I just confirmed it through multiple equips that add +2 to skeletons. :P

You can't do all the side quests right away, some are story gated, others possibly with level. edit: but in tier 2 it definitely helps doing them get enough skillpoints to tackle those harder campaign bosses Nyan Bread fucked around with this message at 23:26 on Jun 3, 2023 |

My game froze trying to pick up lore/audio log and now I'm stuck on the loading screen  Coming from Last Epoch the skill tree in D4 feels pretty meh to upgrade stuff but the game as a whole is way more fun for me than LE

I've been having a good time with a ranged rogue penetrating shot build. This is on wt1 though. I still don't have my aspect yet which is supposed to make it even better. Just pop shadow imbuement then penetrate and blow giant groups up. For bosses use poison imbuement penetrate and they drop super fast.

The reactive sand/snow is such a cool effect when your undead clique begins skirmishing with some spicy giant scorpions and meaty boars on top of a desolate sand dune.

And as weird as it sounds ranged rogue got a lot more fun on controller. Shadow on one trigger, poison on the other. It's pretty fun.

Finally found a legendary that gives me a second hydra and then another that gives 2 to blizzard and it feels a lot better being able to lock down a group and hit em from both sides

Pulverise druid is feeling really good now, ran across the map to get the earth pulverise aspect and was totally worth it. Would love the shockwave aspect now to cap it off.

Finished the campaign. I had a lot of fun playing through the campaign but I don’t really feel compelled to grind the endgame in its current state. That’s totally fine, I got my moneys worth, but probably not what Blizzard wants if they intend to sell a battle pass every 3 months. I think there’s a very good game underneath a bunch of poorly designed systems that I don’t see surviving the first few seasons. Level cap of 100 is kind of absurd considering nothing really changes after like level 30. I would go with 60 tops with the way things are currently designed.

I ran across the map to get the charged bolts aspect on sorc that people call good. I googled it and it's top aspect in guides. it's utterly inconsequential. 15% of casts travel further and home in. I read it and thought "that's bad, must be something more to it". Nope. Sorc generally feels pretty boring - the fun skills (meteor and incinerate and frozen orb) are really bad. I'm switching to barb or druid the moment I finish the campaign Still rocking up to event bosses and watching their hp melt the second I get in there after 2-3 other players have been at it for a bit

The maxroll bone spear necro guide has you waste an entire skill slot on an oh-poo poo button that you will never actually use if you’re not playing hardcore For all the bitching about special streamers being chosen to spend a ton of time playing early they don’t seem to be putting out good material

Maybe I'm bad but blood mist owns and I use it all the time, especially on world bosses. It's an instant CC break there's tons of opportunity to use it even on baby mode wt1
