nuovo spinach asiago garlic ravioli with sonoma gourmet plum tomato marinara (with a little silver palate tomato basil mixed in because the jar wasn't quite full enough). bread with thyme, rosemary, rock salt. ravioli and sauce were good. i recommend. lazy and comforting food

from birth to death, bison burgers with truffle cheddar cheese on buttered/toasted buns. I didn't have tomatoes and the truffle cheese sounded strong, so i avoided toppings. little overdone.

No meat? That's fine but unfortunately I have the cilantro gene. I even think coriander might do it because I don't like chorizo either.

"Cilantro and coriander come from the plant species — Coriandrum sativum.

However, they are named differently in different parts of the world.

In North America, cilantro refers to the leaves and stalks of the plant. The word “cilantro” is the Spanish name for coriander leaves. Meanwhile, the dried seeds of the plant are called coriander.

Internationally, it’s a different story. Coriander is the name for the leaves and stalks of the plant, while the dried seeds are called coriander seeds."

I was going to do some vegetarian chorizo but thought the single can of beans was so much volume it'd fill the 4 tortillas :thunk: oh well

Really? Ground coriander seed is pretty common in Mexican food, Indian food, lots of other stuff where cilantro-y flavor is desired, but the actual leaves would just turn to goo during cooking.

Pro tip for gardeners, Cilantro often bolts frustratingly quickly but after it starts to flower it will set (coriander) seeds. Once the seeds are fully formed, cut down the plant, hang it to dry, and harvest the seeds. Fresh ground coriander seed like this is really, really good.

I ate out last week because I was out of town. Something called a 'Texan' burger. Lettuce, tomato and tobacco onions with 'cajun' dressing. The dressing didn't taste like much of anything except for a very, very mild garlic dip. Dissapointing. I swear, the crybaby attitude to spices here sometimes really pisses me off.

If you are wondering why there is so much salt on the plate it's because I got a handful of chips I didn't ask for. The lid on the salt cellar was perforated like a shower nozzle.

The milkshake wasn't too bad. Notice how the straw is standing straight up and not resting against the lid? It was actually difficult to stir and when it first arrived it was nearly impossible to suck through a straw. Even in the 30 degree heat, after finishing the burger, still thick as champ. My only complaint was that it had syrup instead of fresh fruit. I was tempted to ask for a spoon, it had little marshmallows floating on top.
