I don't think I've ever seen a Japanese word get censored other than まんこ (vagina, basically their version of c*nt). To my knowledge, Japanese doesn't really have a lot of words that are just considered offensive on their own. I'm actually pretty curious what Hina tried to say.

 Boring Translation Talk  死ね shine is the imperative form of the verb 死ぬ shinu "to die, pass away". This makes it a command telling someone to do that verb, in this case, "die!". Since simply censoring the word "die" doesn't make much sense in English, I changed it to "kill yourself". Much more purposeful and inflammatory. Interestingly, しね shine does indeed appear on that Pokemon censored word list posted earlier. Furthermore, in the original language Hina actually says she had typed in 間抜け, manuke, "blockhead, halfwit" (I guess the effect is more inflammatory in Japanese than it is in English). But I had already translated and posted the previous line before coming across this one, and in my mind I had read it as "you bastard!" So even though "bastard" is like the least offensive swear ever, it's what I ended up going with.  Another mistake (from several pages ago): If I had read two pages ahead and realized the subject of a profanity filter was coming up, I wouldn't have used the word "gently caress" here. Gorou's original language doesn't really contain anything in the way of profanity, it's just that he's being extremely rude and slurring his speech with a lot of Japanese contractions. I thought a "gently caress" was justified there. And then a page later I learn there's a profanity filter in this game. Oh well.
