Between that and the “LGBTQ people are not discriminated against” I feel like we’re really close to the TradWide arc for his mouthpiece lesbian. IIRC the last time we saw her was her yearning for the security and sanctity of the church

Maybe, but at least for now we are firmly in Monique is "one of the good ones" territory. Everyone who had that on their bingo cards can go ahead and cover the space.

Actually, there's a not insignificant amount of witchcraft in the Bible, both testaments too. It's just not been big with the church.

That’s just a fat guy in underwear Tats. I guess Calvin Klein advertised their stuff with a fat guy? That’s not explicitly an LGTBQ thing but it is showing your rear end on the end goal here.

But showing your entire rear end online is just your brand at this point.

In a weird way, you might say he's going horse shoe theory on intersectionality, with being fat also being an oppressed identity/materiality that can be combined with all our friends from racism and sexism and homophobia and transphobia and so on. Of course, Ishida goes at it from a "these are all aspects of evil" angle instead.

Yeah I at least entertained libertarianism (though never identified as one) in my 18-21 years because of that stuff. It was my self-proclaimed libertarian roommate justifying voting for Bush with "I'm more afraid of socialism than I care about civil liberties" and realizing that that applied to most of them, that I wrote the movement off, and seeing them all become either Dems or MAGA confirmed it.

Yeah but it's bad right, like Solomon gets in trouble with God for seeing a necromancer.

I guess it depends on the story though, the Egyptian priests weren't portrayed as evil their gods were just too weak to beat jehovah

I looked it up and Calvin Klein recently did some ads with trans men as models and one of the men was pregnant so that's probably the reference.

But, yeah, you can't really tell from the art that's what's going on (and the guy he drew looks nothing like the pregnant trans man that was in the ad). It just looks like some thicc dude, why is Sinfest so pissed off about body positivity?

Tempted to nominate this one for a Kelly because it's still "well, guess AI is just going to kill everyone", but the scenario described here did happen, making this more of an "a thing happened" cartoon, and it's not a terrible one of those. There is a certain irony in people working on AI technology signing a letter saying "hey, maybe somebody should stop us".
