Yeah,. this makes sense to me, especially with the dragons being named after the old three goddesses and the whole "people looked at the Zonai as gods" thing from the exposition that never really went anywhere.

It helps a ton to be on exactly flat ground. I used one of the sky islands that has a rotating device in the middle, because it's also well lit.

The side by side design is more forgiving if you're off a bit plus it takes off more vertically, but the front and back design controls a bit better and is much more effective for hauling koroks/other stuff.

It always had a drift and is not particularly controllable. One of them got me to the tippy top of the Lomei labyrinth so I got that going for me.

The one that worked for me after a few tries was one fan facing flat down, steering stick on top of it, two fans attached at a 45 degree angle to the back, and one stabilizer on the front. Little more energy-intensive than the basic 2-fan setup but fairly negligibly so once you've upgraded your battery a little.

Thing with the airbike is that you need to make sure the control stick is as close to perfectly aligned with the first fan, which often means ignoring where it wants to connect automatically

That was it! In retrospect, should've been obvious, but I got sidetracked by what I thought may be a nod to the last game

I had the easiest time building the regular fanbike with the fan flat on the ground, then grab the steering stick and tilt it 45 degrees, then stick it right in the middle. Then you have the second fan also parallel with the ground, and you can stick it to the other side of the steering stick. The trick for me was to make sure I had the steering stick right in front of me, facing directly forward, and I stood directly in front of the bike while gluing it together it so there wasn't some tiny little off-angle that adds drift.

Yeah I was on a sky island and found a pile of like 8 rockets. I was sad when I set them all off and instead of launching me into orbit it just burned through all my battery in a quarter of a second

For DLC, I would be surprised if we finish all the DLC without a fight against a Bargainer Statue construct of some kind. That's gotta be one of the things, right? No real information about WTF it is in the base game, lots of mysterious aspects of the depths tie into it like the random rock pile weapons/poes, and it's something distinct from the anti-goddess statue from BOTW

And it's built like a brick shithouse!

Question about the final boss(spoilers obviously): Can you still teleport out after the enemy gauntlet? It’d be a nice place to farm monster parts.

Yes, the point of no return is a point shortly after that one mural room from the prologue, you can teleport out anytime before that. If you beat the game it'll drop you off at that point when you pick the completed game savefile.

Depends on what you mean. If you've already leapt down to the very bottom, then you've past the point of no return. You can't warp out, and you can't save. Any autosave will be placed before this.

Just saw the credits. Final boss thoughts: I was surprised when the dragon phase was just a “go hit these spots” bit because I’d expected another real phase after the previous one, which also felt gimmicky to me. I hadn’t done very much flurry rushing in the rest of the game and found his timing really frustrating, but after a while of comedy swinging where neither of us could hit the other I figured out that if you back him up against the wall you can get hits in without him just flipping away.

Another is the Gerudo/Hylian pair you unite at lovers lake in botw - Wabbin and Perda - are the couple with a kid in totk. Though I still haven’t figured out if there’s a way to get Perda to realise Wabbin is hanging out in man jail!

Honestly this poo poo is why I never understood people being angry with reusing BoTW's Hyrule. It's been so fun finding where people have gone to and what they're up to now.

I never did manage to find Brigo, though. For being the first NPC you're likely to run into in BoTW I'm surprised I couldn't find him.
