rent a girlfriend sets up some half-decent conflicts about the guy trying to grow as a person but also still having way too much baggage and his ex-girlfriend feeling a sense of possessiveness over him despite them not dating anymore, which are both fairly real conflicts, but then it mostly just spins its wheels forever because its popular and the author has kids to feed

Fate/Strange Fake getting an anime next season. i'm a typemoon nerd, but I did glance at the manga a bit and it looks about as bottom of the barrel as far as Fate stuff goes, I put it on the level of the Fate/Extra anime that no one watched because it was released on netflix

strange fake is the baccano/durarara guy's fate story right? big year for him getting adapted again. i have been enjoying dead mount death play a fair amount, it took like 3 or 4 episodes of windup before it felt like one of his stories but it's all there now
