"I have more money than you, so give me your money to live" it's disgusting and the fact that there are people that think it's good to strive to be a landlord really worry me. I could have become a landlord and chose not to. Address the unmet needs that drive landlording (give people a good living wage, old people good pension and access to good healthcare and aged care) so that they don't feel the need to extract it from workers.

There's a new phone book sitting on the nature strip between my house and my next door neighbour's house. I don't think it's mine, I've opted out of receiving them on multiple occasions. But my neighbours haven't picked it up either. It's like some dumb game of phone book chicken and I'm annoyed they're still in print, surely no one uses them anymore?

As I'm always quick to remind people: Old people exist and a lot of them just refuse to change the way they do things. My mum still pays with cash for everything because for some reason it feels safer for her. She won't do internet banking at all. There is no reasoning with her about it.

I'm pretty sure my poor cat has diabetes. She's 15, and has been very sluggish lately and she has a sore spot that is taking a long time to heal. Its awful, my old cat had it and this one is not going to be quite as lovely about taking needles and getting her ear pricked for blood tests.
