I believe the Russian contingent there are described to "have withdrawn to more advantageous positions." Way better than those positions they were holding. "Wait over there, behind us, that's even better!"

Ukraine took out a major, huge radar installation in Crimea

Large hole in the radome at the Mayak Crimea radar site, cause likely Storm Shadow. 45.345597, 32.521076

E: oof, a train derailed in Oleksiiv, Belgorod Oblast yesterday, possibly due to sabotage of rail lines. Three train cars are refrigerated and carry only cargo 200s, up to 500

This is definitely more than enough to aid in easily harassing the peninsula with drones and missiles for the foreseeable future, with much less likely being shot down.

The site near Mayak, located near Olenevka on Cape Tarkhankut, is the northwestern-most radar point of the Russian Federation in the Black Sea. The radar site consists of three out of four components to the Nebo-M complex, Russia’s most modern mobile early warning radar systems.

The complex works similarly to other sites on the peninsula in combining radars across multiple bands to leverage the capabilities of each frequency range. In addition, a Kasta 2–2 air-search radar has been present at this site since it was taken over by Russian forces, providing additional VHF/UHF coverage of the northwestern part of the peninsula.

That is all now disabled, probably for quite some time. There's now a substantial radar coverage gap in Crimea

Things are heating up in Melitopol direction. Lots of increased partisan activity, likely prepping the battlefield prior to Ukrainian army breakthrough. Partisans acting as fifth column. Most recently, partisans sabotaged rail line to East Dolynske 12km southwest of Melitopol. Looking at maps of the area, most Russian fortifications were in the first 25km of the frontline. Ukraine has breached almost 1/3 of that so far from confirmed reports. Ukraine is advancing without air supremacy, RU army is advancing near Kremennaya and Kupyansk in a failed distraction attempt. Russian attacks held off by TDF

Don't, it's not healthy. Like reading chuds and their garbage. These people were stupid and will continue to be stupid. (I will still do it when there's a major breakthrough for laughs but it's not healthy to do on the regular)

This map is ambitious. It refers to Karelia as "temporarily occupied", Kaliningrad as "temporarily occupied East Prussia", and marks out as occupied everything else Russia took from its neighbours since 1939.

It's real dumb. None of these countries have the least interest in getting these territories back. Hell, after the breakup of the USSR Finland was offered to buy back Karelia and refused. Why would they want to annex a couple of million Russians and a region with substantially lower GDP than their median? The same applies to all the other territories marked as occupied there - Except, obviously, the recently occupied Ukrainian ones.

I think several EU states would happily pay a big sum to get Russia out of Kaliningrad.

That's just a bit of trolling. There's also a small surprise when you click on Kyiv.

When it comes to the area we actually care about, they are not the first to update, but when they do, it tends to be accurate. Most importantly, they are are also upfront about what they don't know.
