The person who actually knows what they are talking about but doesn’t get a chance to reply until later that day gets buried in the comments while the person who just spends all day sorting by new has 100s of upvotes and 30 responses all of “this is the way” regardless if their post is correct or at all relevant to the thread. And if you dare to go against the hive mind and respond with actual correct information, the OP who started the thread will get super argumentative with you.

As much as Reddit had some pretty funny things, nobody there used a program to make over a photo of their cat with makeup, and there were no amazing MS paint adventures where OPs took feedback from everyone to progress the story (i.e: Microbe - He is the Best! or Dropsy the Clown). I liked the niche subs for my interests, but most of those things I've found on discord communities, so I think I'm all set.
