Uhh, they don't list the ingredients in a candle, unless they're saying what type of wax or "essential oils". It's not like they're listing each and every component by IUPAC name.

Hey, could he be stretching the truth?

The tone and content of that post pegs him as 75% poo poo poster which doesn't preclude him from being either a true believer or someone walking around a BBB talking about a candle conspiracy but does mean you can stop picking it apart on inaccuracies because he surely wasn't paying as much attention to the continuity of his poo poo post as you are.

A lot of it is bitcoins lost forever because people lost or forgot their keys/wallets. Like that guy who has been looking at the municipal dump for close to a decade now for his $400 million dollar hard drive.

Also, many people hoarded bitcoins and then died without telling the password to anyone. It's not like a judge can give it to your wife or kids when you die like you can with regular financial accounts by writing to the bank.

Despite their utopian rhetoric they don't really think of it as a future currency to replace the dollar, euro, etc. They think of it as a collectible like baseball cards or unopened action figures, something that just sits in your attic for years until eventually someone comes begging to buy it from you for a million dollars.

This is a good thing in their eyes, like when someone's mom throws out their Superman #1 everyone else's becomes rarer.

The whole selling point of bitcoin as an "investment" is that the rate of new creation slows down and eventually stops they become harder to get over time, lost passwords and coins getting fat-fingered to invalid wallet addresses speeds that up so everyone likes it when they're not the ones losing coins, but caveat emptor they should have been smarter.
