I'm not entirely sure which part of the COVID situation this relates to; I'd assume it's about the jobs that effectively couldn't be done during COVID lockdown, like performances etc.
Anyway, the Finnish phrasing is a bit more ambiguous between the "taking away" vs. "taking for itself" reads.

In Finnish the word for "move" and "political movement" is the same, so the joke works a bit better in the original. I feel like there's a good translation but I can't quite grasp it this early in the morning.

In the Finnish original it wasn't just a generic "alt-right movement", but the Lapua Movement, Lapuan liike. What's that, you ask?

"Lapuanliike or Lapuan liike was a powerful anti-communist and right wing radical people's movement that was active in Finland between 1929-1932. Its stated goal was to root out communism in Finland.
[...]
Ultimately the movement's goal became to ban any kind of left wing activity, and military power based right wing dictatorship. The last show of force for the movement was an attempted armed coup, known as the Mäntsälä uprising, in the winter of 1932."

That third panel of the first comic just makes it. It's still funny if you remove it, but that panel included just makes it top tier.

Are they even allowed to draw that?

Not to pre-empt the plot of Luann, but I feel all of these efforts towards secrecy are undermined by liveblogging them.

Yeah, Tiffany's storage business ended for a similar reason.

This seems like a passive-aggressive attempt to force the issue with Gunther and his Mom, because even if she's tuned out Bets' video feed, somebody she's told about Bets is going to see these videos and draw her attention to this.
