At this point they're probably a package deal.

Saw reports they're going to Bayern a while ago.

USA's list of players who are only somewhat-injured World Cup roster:

Goalkeepers (3): Aubrey Kingsbury (Washington Spirit), Casey Murphy (North Carolina Courage), Alyssa Naeher (Chicago Red Stars)
Defenders (7): Alana Cook (OL Reign), Crystal Dunn (Portland Thorns FC), Emily Fox (North Carolina Courage), Naomi Girma (San Diego Wave FC), Sofia Huerta (OL Reign), Kelley O’Hara (NJ/NY Gotham FC), Emily Sonnett (OL Reign)
Midfielders (7): Savannah DeMelo (Racing Louisville FC), Julie Ertz (Angel City FC), Lindsey Horan (Olympique Lyon), Rose Lavelle (OL Reign), Kristie Mewis (NJ/NY Gotham FC), Ashley Sanchez (Washington Spirit), Andi Sullivan (Washington Spirit)
Forwards (6): Alex Morgan (San Diego Wave FC), Megan Rapinoe (OL Reign), Trinity Rodman (Washington Spirit), Sophia Smith (Portland Thorns FC), Alyssa Thompson (Angel City FC), Lynn Williams (NJ/NY Gotham FC)

Reminder that Macario, Swanson, Sam Mewis and Sauerbrunn are all out injured; Ertz only just started playing back in April after an 18 month layoff; Lavelle will not have played a game since April by the time they kick off in NZ and DeMelo literally has 0 caps for the US...

...this should be "fun".

I often wonder how well a USWNT B-Team would do in these tournaments for that reason. Definitely making it out of the group stage.

The Guardian went through the terms and conditions for WWC tickets. They bring up the rainbow brouhaha from last year but it doesn't seem like that's explicitly banned, which is good thing when a decent amount of the participants are quiiiiiiiiiite gay.

quote:

And, in a win for those who remain forever traumatised by the piercing horn of the vuvuzela that drowned out the sound of just about everything in South Africa in 2010, they’re strictly banned this year, as is any other musical instrument.

As someone who will be going to one of the games: :toot:

...

poo poo, I mean :woop:, please don't ban me FIFA.

There should be a musical instrument ban from all international sporting events so I don't have to hear the England band ever again playing three bars of the theme to the great escape before starting again

What did you say the strategy was?
The people with the trumpets at Roland Garros were good. Musical breaks during court changes

Well it also helps in this regard that the tournament is in Australia and not Qatar.
