Harrison Barnes is absolutely an NBA level 4.

Kinda like how old man Jeff Green became a pretty good rotation center once he realized his true calling.

Yeah I read that this morning and he needs to get slept for his smugness.

There is a reason he is a writer and not an NBA exec. For some reason he has it out for the Blazers.

For all the hand wringing about the new CBA it seems like there's still deals going down and buyers out there. I think Lowe is going overboard on how much teams are going to feel handcuffed. There will be more depth problems, but that applies to everyone. In general I think having 3-4 Really Really good players is going to be better than 2 + depth of decent guys.

Like its going to change things, but I don't think anyone is going to go "No I don't want an all-star type guy".

Yeah if the second apron is what we think it is going to be (and no one knows for sure because the new CBA is not out yet still) the second apron is going to be the type of thing most teams aren’t going to easily reach. Especially when most teams never cross the first apron and we teams that you can count the number of times they went into the tax on one hand despite it being around for 20 years at this point.

Suns are driving a bus straight towards it and the Clippers and Warriors had the rule made to punish them but everyone else is probably not getting there and if they do they won’t be staying.

Especially if the cap goes back to increasing at the rate it used to which sure seems that way.

Using one of your tradable pieces for Brogdon makes more sense to me than Chris Paul although this is the sort of trade you could maybe do both.

Also one of those trades where someone is jumping on a landmine I want the Lakers to avoid this offseason in Porzingis.

Sure. Pedantic I guess, but you wouldn’t call Jeff Green a “true” 5 then would you? HB definitely played the 4, but pretty much only nominally. He and Keegan Murray are both forwards or SF/PF. Just a weird nitpick in his article which does affect his opinion on what the Kings should do.
