The thing is even if this all ends very quickly, the reaction of regimes like Putin's to coup attempts is never pretty. It's not going to be 'well that was silly, we're all friends again'. There's going to be rounds of purges as first the explicitly disloyal go, and then they start looking at anyone who looked like they were waiting to see which way the wind was blowing before siding with the regime.

Going to be interesting to see what he has to say, because he cannot stay silent about this and this will determine whether Prigozhin is swinging from a rope by tomorrow morning or not. I'm sure Putin is aware that Shoigu is incompetent, and Prigozhin did deliver Bakhmut to Russia, but I don't see Putin saying "Yeah Shoigu's gotta go", much more likely he declares Prigozhin an enemy of the state and orders the military to put him down. Putin's power structure depends on the leader of the military being incompetent so that they can't come at him swinging and try to coup him, so he can't afford to have Shoigu whacked by Prigozhin.

I'm not sure who there is currently that is capable of stopping a concerted wagner push on moscow who is also willing and prepared to die for shoigu's career. if the air force isn't willing to attack prigozhin and other security forces are doing nothing or even joining with wagner, then idk the mechanism exactly that leads to prigozhin hanging tomorrow.

Rosgvardiya and the FSB are the only troops in the area. And both have been pretty depleted from supplying front line soldiers to Ukraine. The mad lad might actually pull this off.
