I don’t think that actually is a chatbot. It is what they had to do when the account was banned for impersonation. I think it was originally called Chris Luxon Satire or something. When it came back from the ban it had the current name.

When I was growing up in the 90s I remember a tale going around that there was apparently an attempt to sell NZ to Japan. Does anyone have any more context on that? This just triggered a very random memory, but I feel like the bs must have been based on some news story or something?

I think a lot of Japanese were buying up land back during the bubble economy because, well, it's not like you can just make more of it. 'course, once the bubble burst that stopped pretty quick. Either way it was before my Granddad moved us all here, so the details escape me.
