E1 just dropped the first episode of their first ever ongoing RPG series. In their short series the characters are pretty much one note jokes, but since this series will be going indefinitely, they got pretty in-depth. Almost the entire episode is dedicated to explaining their backstories, the backstory of a mentor character who will not be appearing in the series, and the complete layout of one guys house. They also had to deal with the fact that one character’s backstory involved Frank Sinatra and another involved the JFK assassination despite the game taking place in 1929, but they got that ironed out.

I think im done giving Guys a shot. the Crossfit ep started off very funny and I was enjoying learning about the lingo and cultiness of it but by 20 minutes in they're just reading YouTube comments, which was somehow even worse than reading Reddit posts.

I don’t understand why you’d even do a show like that if you weren’t going to try to get a guest each episode who actually knew about the type of guy being discussed.

That and Bryan and Chris' riffing is incredibly anemic.

Like Chapo guys, it's stuck in our heads as a movie that was better than it had any right to be. It's stuck in a weird place where it's not a Samurai Cop or The Room that's bafflingly bad, but it's too well produced and thought out to be an earnest but incompetent movie like Miami Connection. I would recommend watching it, just because it is very earnest, pretty creative, but also extremely weird. It's basically a sci-fi passion play, and I really hope they make the sequel teased in the post credits.
