Yea, now I'm curious the etymology of the word. One source says: Shindig is a word that means "a dance, a ball; rowdy party, lively gathering". The word was first used in the Western U.S. colloquial in 1871. It probably comes from the earlier slang shindy, which means "a spree, row, disturbance, merrymaking". Shindy was first used in the 1820s. We had gotten like, some quick to-go pizza from in town, then later we went out to the wilderness or whatever the gently caress,, OK TLDR ,, I put pizza leftovers just on a lil plate in the middle of our camp and a bit later,,, a raccoon, slowly up to where we are... but stays at the very, very, edge of the light. I still haven't found the last pair of my glasses, I only wear at my computer desk, that I took off 3 years ago. Although, a small and newly mobile human might have had a part in them not being near the computer anymore. Anyways.
