The restaurant manager is very convinced that we'll be set if we can get a certain beer bar in town to buy a keg. This place mostly stocks hazies, pastry stouts, and smoothie sours. We don't really have those in our catalog.

I kind of wish I could get everyone in a meeting so we could figure out a fuckin production schedule instead of constantly being told what to make with like a week of notice. Especially now that I have two liquid yeast pitches in the walk in that expire in September.

well do it after it spoils when management fails to give you the greenlight for a beer to make with it. then say something really weird like "senpai gives me big cummies" actually that might be very normal in Japan, I leave the one liner to your best judgement |

I have to say I am glad that where I work, the bosses don't really tolerate that stuff. I've had run ins with a couple repeat offenders going off on transphobic screeds and one malding incident over the Little Mermaid remake. It had been an ongoing thing with those couple guys and one point it got so egregious and the conversation started spreading out to a couple other people who were obviously not into it so I shot an email to my supervisor, and in the next couple minutes the big boss swooced around the corner to take them away for a quick "shut the hell up" talk. I haven't heard a peep from them since. My bosses are all conservatives but they're professionals first.
I am a patient they. |

New job, fully remote, it's okay. It's weird because freaking nobody talks to me. But whatever. I finally found another fully remote employee, who also thinks this is weird, and now we're poo poo posting on Teams and designing cute stickers to give out at our next training. This makes me feel like I won, somehow. |

a lot of what i've been doing at work recently is rewriting systems that worked with the old API for a specific console and converting them to work with the new api for that console. it's kinda silly because the new one is just the more verbose version of the old one and we don't want to change how we're interacting with the APIs at all so it's just taking 80 lines of code that worked fine and rewriting them to be 300 lines of code that do exactly the same thing but anyway i started work on a system this week that was bound to be obnoxious and i finished it today and it Literally Just Worked out of the box which, like, yeah, it should, but also i do not trust it at all lol

We have had 4 employee satisfaction questionnaires in the past 12 months. In response to our responses, our CEO decided what would really improve morale is to hire a corporate motivational speaker to lecture us on living a complaint-free lifestyle and entice us with a Complaint-Free Month Challenge! We have been assured that learning not to complain will make us so much happier. Oh, and we have to pay for our own copy of the book that this motivational speaker is shilling. Why am I skeptical about this? Is there something wrong with me? |
