I think it in this thread I learnt about the CIA killing Bob Marley and went looking into his background of anti-colonialism and pan-africanism which was becoming popular at the time of this last concert. To the point it was mentioned in US state documents as a threat for black liberation in the US. That whole history just got memory holed, and the history of gun violence within the country was re-written. It's just accepted that Jamaica has always been violent, and if you read into it lots of sources mention how it's murder rate was one of the lowest in the world at independence in 1962, and by the 2000s was one of the highest. Which seems to be trying to create the impression that violence drew directly from independence, as though the people were unable to self-govern and were better off as a colony. But if you look when the murder rate and violence started to climb it didn't start until the late 70s when the US started supplying the neoliberal opposition with guns. And it really started to climb in the 80s when the CIA was directly supplying, and training drug gangs aligned to that same party. It's similar in Haiti where people just accept the gun violence as their natural state. And nobody asks why gangs aligned to the US puppet in charge who engage in terrorism which benefits the US puppet, are able to get their hands on vast amounts of US made assault rifles.

I don't think Qanon is an psyop but essentially it was just an angry pro-Trump conspiracy group that caught the attention of the likes of Bannon, Flynn and Stone who love fanning those flames to keep people engaged. But Bannon absolutely went all in on that to distract that he almost released a pro-Epstein documentary that disappeared into the wind when Epstein got arrested.

If you’re an American very partisan right winger you kind of need to develop a framework for why your side’s pedos are actually deep cover heroes stopping the pedos. something like qanon was inevitable when trump himself became the guy since he has personal Epstein connections. in contrast, contemporary liberalism is all about saying The System Is Good. so, partisan liberals don’t need to make a liberal version of qanon. everything to do with Epstein outside of what was very strictly proven in court is simply and obviously ‘misinformation.’

Qanon is a pretty clever way of entertaining all the conspiracy nuts who don't usually bother to vote but all came out for Trump in 2016. All the evidence points to it being just a generic 4chan hoax until it got hijacked by the Watkins family when it moved to 8chan, a website that allows child porn on "free speech" grounds and was started by a guy who made his fortune running a porn website in the Philippines for content that was illegal in Japan. It definitely got spun up into an actual psyop when Bannon and Stone got involved around the time Epstein was killed.

A psyop doesn’t need to be started by some higher-ups, it’s pretty easy to hijack organic movements to defang them or turn them even more reactionary. qanon grew out of pizzagate which was like a super obvious psyop to smoke and mirrors all the insane poo poo in those emails, about the podesta's, which led people to looking into Epstein and Clinton etc. I don't know if the leaked emails were part of a limited hangout or not but pizzagate as a 'movement' was very obviously a psyop of some kind meant to taint the well that later grew into qanon, I think it's highly effective too, you can't really talk to normal liberals about this stuff in depth without sounding like a million other cranks

The leaks which lead to pizzagate started with Trump money to wag the dog with respect to his own then soon-to-be-released Epstein-related court file transcripts with testimony from a Jane Doe. Problem was, it was all true. Because it's anonymously guided, those who had been exposed also utilized the conspiracy web - they themselves terming it "pizzagate" - to spin it towards absurdity. And then everyone else got in on it, too, why not. You can imagine some small message board with a Trump FBI operative, some DNC retired intel agent turned private investigator, and a CIA trafficker all pushing each other to and fro trying to massage the story to their own gain. Trump won that one, too, in the end. Along with whoever(s) has the reins of the QAnon op at the moment.

I started following RFK Jr. on twitter because I also follow Lisa Pease but I unfollowed as soon as he posted a pro-crypto tweet  Still not sure what the deal is with the guy, he seems like he's trying to earnestly triangulate positions that are palatable to a wider audience (pandering). I guess we'll know how authentic he is by whether anything happens to him
