It actually kind of depresses me that Mookie was going to make the dwarves a fresh setting and story, and then was just like... Oh wait, I can just mush this concept into my existing world, why spend the effort trying something completely new after decades of Deegan! Technically, I can make anything into Deegan! Like Star Power WAS an original setting and everything so maybe he felt satisfied with that, but it's like... Idk. It feels like he's so hidebound to his "greatest hit". It would have been interesting to see him set up a new setting that didn't have all this baggage.

Looking at this story and knowing the context behind Jayden, and man, Greg ruining the moment of her finally speaking again really makes it feel like Mookie never forgave Jayden/the woman she was based on, huh? Somebody ITT brought up before that Mookie doesn't believe in true redemption because he writes "bad" characters like Arudak as being tricked into joining an evil group. Compare it to how Mookie keeps making GBS threads on Jayden, someone who made a bad decision at the time, and has her pay for her "sins."

Yeah, if he actually wanted to redeem Jayden, Siggy would have seduced her or tricked her into sleeping with him, or maybe she had to sleep him because some Callanian Knight tradition demanded they must have sex or be executed or whatever. Something that made it not actually her fault, you see, just circumstances and evil people and her being the victim of it. Since it's written as her making the conscious decision to cheat on Milov with his best friend (which, don't get me wrong, is a lovely thing to do), she is a bad person now and forever, will never find redemption or forgiveness and deserves all bad things that happen to her, including Milov killing her in a fit of jealous rage.
