Cartoon ghost truck works better for me than the Kevin Supervillain stuff, so I'm fine with this vein of magical shenanigans. Gives more vibes with the dad going into mascotopia, which I also liked.

I just think the story's gone on a little long. Like it & the kevin supervillain feel a lot longer than the Miles Grounded storyline. Mascotopia was shorter and had breaks by cutting back to the kids going around the wrestling arena for little bit.

Incidentally I think the growing pains with the new Miles & Kevin art style (everyone else looks the same so I guess it was just to make them read as younger) are over, so that's nice. No more nagging on that front from me.

Can't help but notice there aren't a lot of these comments about the Nazis yet. It's not like we hadn't started sending American soldiers to Europe, but the US part of the war on the front page has still been leaning very heavily towards the Pacific theater, for obvious reasons.

That third panel of the first comic just makes it. It's still funny if you remove it, but that panel included just makes it top tier.

That's my best guess too. The phrasing is sometimes used for a time it's common to put on weight, such as when you go away to college and your diet changes from Mom's home cooking to self-selected garbage, you gain the "freshman 5" (or 10, or 20, as the case may be). But it's still a little obscure. While I never heard it applied to pandemic weight gain, it would at least make sense. Still very strange to drop it in a strip totally out of context and leave everyone to try and figure it out, though.
