Haha yes, exactly what I've always wanted from an alt-comic strip. A dark aesthetic, but with panels that are individually drawn instead of copy-pasted.

A perfect example of everything wrong with this comic. You've got a solid setup for a story here: child decides to cut own hair. But then it just works out fine. No drama, no story. Exposition. Rising action. Climax. Falling action. Resolution.

Kim can be a boy's name.

It's weird placing that last comment like a punchline, but given the drama in other comics I appreciate that these two are communicating about their wants and responsibilities. That's something Rex Morgan generally does well.

That third panel of the first comic just makes it. It's still funny if you remove it, but that panel included just makes it top tier.
It's actually short for Kimtholemew.

They're talking about April: former CIA agent, current convict, Randy's wife, and the subject of Neddy's TV show. Randy doesn't like the way April was portrayed in season one and is giving Neddy a bunch of CIA documents so she can do a better job in season two.

Panel 2: So I think -- cannot marry -- I love Richard so ... You see Richard's Father and my dad were once business partners ... something went wrong and Richard's Father accused dad of a criminal offense and he was sent to prison ... dad assured me that he is innocent of the crime and I believe him. Strangely enough Richard believes my Father is innocent, too. This has enraged his parents to such an extent that he has been forced to leave home ...

Panel 4: He wants to marry me, but since dad is still in prison, and everything is so complicated, I wonder if it wouldn't be better to give him up -- oh, but I love him so -- what shall I do? Sally Sundown
