When someone is elected President they have to live with their children and if still alive their own parents. Any of these is, if not given an actual veto, allowed to smack the POTUS upside the head and force a 24 hour recosideration period if the prez is about to sign something real dumb into law. The smack is necessary and normally required for the process to be legally binding.
