The reason they discontinued PS3 support in the first place was that they were scraping against the absolute limit of the console's RAM. It's the reason we didn't have job gauges and the reason progress bars were in the duty HUD element. We haven't seen any signs the PS4 is holding them back quite so hard yet. It's possible, though, that the update will change things.

min specs are usually pretty overshot to make sure there's no cases where people have the min specs, buy the game, and cant play it. they're keeping ps4 support. if you can run the game fine now you'll be able to run it fine in the new stuff, just with like 5-10 less fps, probably.

There's got to be something weird with the CPU requirements. An i7 is a ton of power for this game, even with the graphical update.

Did you know that the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has a free trial, and includes the entirety of A Realm Reborn AND the award-winning Heavensward expansion AND the very divisive but I think it's fine Stormblood expansion up to level 70 with no restrictions on playtime?
