One of my favorite experiences was watching my friend's kid learn the word "pineapple." He was confused because he recognized "apple," but this wasn't apple, but then he got the concept that pineapple was a different thing. Watching someone experience something you know, but have it be new to them, lets you get a hint of that moment, and it feels great. Reaction videos are just that, but featuring people you don't care about, and possibly fake and/or targeted to also hit the "that person likes a thing I like" dopamine button. Of all the annoying things the new social internet does, it's the one I hate the least.
