I resolved during my first basho that I will never trade out an injured rikishi and so I was prepared to take a hit when Asanoyama went kyujo and was then very pleasantly surprised a few days later. I hope he hasn't made anything worse through his zeal.

You're right! I missed adding your bonuses for Hoshoryu, the yusho and the kanto-sho. My spreadsheet is having you come up at 52.5, so I might need to go over it with a fine-toothed comb to figure out where you and I are different, but I updated the results with you in a more correct position in any case.

Spoke to a dude who was visiting Isegahama beya during the rugby world cup in 2019, pretty interesting hearing how a day goes in front of visitors.

Apparently Takarafuji was the boss at the time and they mentioned how obvious the hierarchy is in person, basically he ordered everyone around and even a recovering Terunofuji was just one of the boys around him at the time - you can't show the soles of you feet to the rikishi and they were advised not to look any of them in the eye while standing. Also picked up on the randomness of the training, like guys having practice bouts then just lifting a random dumbbell and busting out some reps in between. Said it was a cool set up but super traditional and weird to outsiders, they didn't get to try any chanko either.

If it's a 0.5 difference above what I calculate, it's probably a missed MK deduction - perhaps for one of the Y/Os?

Just purely for my own interest, I've done up my own Excel to track everyone's score during the tournament and I think my setup works quite well. The only shortcoming is that I have no idea how the drafting and trade wire works so until you announce the result of the draft and trades, I can't update certain goons' score.

If anyone wants a Hakuho tegata, this is where I got mine. The seller is legit, the only difference is the red ones that I got were made recently after retirement, so there is no yokozuna stamp on them. If you order the black one it has the stamp.
